If you don’t need a Trello card anymore and want to delete it, you may have noticed there’s no direct option called “delete.”
The “delete” option only appears once you’ve archived the card first. Open the Trello card, click ‘Archive‘ at the bottom, and then select ‘Delete.’
That is because deleting a Trello card is permanent, you cannot recover a Trello card after deleting it. So Trello insists on archiving the card first so that you can retrieve it later.

Below is a detailed step-by-step guide on how to Delete a Card, as well as how to find the archived cards and unarchive them in Trello.
Step 1: Open Your Trello Board
First, log in to your Trello account and navigate to the board where the card you want to delete is. After that, find the list that contains the card you want to remove.
Step 2: Open the Card
Click on the card that you want to delete. This will open the card and display its details, including descriptions, attachments, and other relevant information.

If you prefer to delete the card completely and permanently, select “Delete.”

If you want to keep your Trello board organized and free of the clutter that can make you feel overwhelmed, there’s no reason to hold on to finished task lists and unnecessary items.
Streamlining your Board by removing outdated or irrelevant tasks helps create a clear, focused workspace, making it easier to stay on track.
Trello does not offer a direct way to delete lists. You have to archive the list from the Board and then permanently delete the lists from archived items.
You can recover your lists and the cards it contains from the archived items on the board menu. However, note that once you permanently delete a list, there is no way to recover it; the list and all of its cards will be gone.

Note: Deleting a board is permanent and cannot be undone, so make sure you really want to delete the Board before proceeding.
